CONCEPT

Originally designed in 2020, the ‘Rolled Rim’ dinnerware range was inspired by a number of references, but most notably the medieval myth of Cockaigne, a fictional land of plenty where cheese rains from the sky, rivers run with wine, and roads are paved with pastry.

The fleshy folds of this stacking series generously reinterpret the rigid rim seen on conventional dinnerware. Softened, smoothed, and far more forgiving, their sculptural design not only adds visual interest and ergonomic appeal to the humble plate or bowl, but server to strengthen their most venerable feature.
